“So, what do you do all day?”

No doubt, I’ve gotten this question more in the last week than ever before. Admittedly, it is a little odd being a full time stay-at-home-mom to a child who is in all day school.

The strange thing is, I don’t find myself laying prostrate on the couch weeping, watching Dr. Phil or eating bon-bons. Yes, I do have more time for myself, going to the gym, making un-hindered trips to Target and Starbucks–but I do also contribute productive things to our community.

One of my favorite commitments of the week is Bible Study Fellowship, a weekly nondenominational Bible Study. I have learned more about God, His word and what it means for my life in BSF than in any other facet of my life. Understand, I grew up in a Christian home, attended a Christian college and still lacked the tools necessary to truly study and apply God’s word to my life. With the training that I’ve received in BSF, I feel confident that I can dissect any passage of scripture, understand it, apply it to my life and teach it to someone else.

Not only have I gained tools, I have gained confidence in sharing my faith with others. While I am still not setting the world on fire, I feel much more at ease in sharing my love for Christ in every day settings.

I cannot not say enough of the teaching and training that I have received through BSF. I am so grateful for an organization that stands on the truth of God’s word and equips people throughout the world.

I so encourage you to enroll in class today–we’re just starting the study of Genesis, the story of a great beginning. It could be a new beginning for you!
