How far along: 20 weeks.
How big is baby: Baby girl weighed in at 11 ounces (above average!) at our ultrasound on Tuesday. She’s also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — about the size of a banana.
Weight gain/loss: I’m at plus one pound! To those who have been praying that I’d be able to gain weight, thank you! It feels good to go to the doctor’s office and not get scolded on the scale.
Sleep: I’m up and down throughout the night, which gives me ample time to pray for my loved ones. (I figure it is also giving me a small taste of what the future will hold–as it has been many years since we’ve had nighttime feedings).
Diet/Cravings/Aversions: Even with some lingering nausea and vomiting, I’m feeling so thankful that I’m able to eat more often than not. I’m vomiting a lot less (what is it with tooth brushing?), but haven’t had any ‘cravings’ per say.
Movement: Constant. The sonographer couldn’t believe how active baby girl is.
What I’m loving: Knowing that we’re expecting another GIRL! Celebrating the end of the school year! Feeling overwhelmed with God’s goodness to our family–two healthy daughters–wow!
Symptoms: I continue to have occasional racing of the heart–which limits my activity. Also, the pain (contractions) in my lower belly vary day to day–with some days being more active than others. I know my belly is growing because all-of-a-sudden (today!) none of my non-maternity pants fit.
What I’m looking forward to: Spending the summer months basking in freedom! Enjoying countless days at the beach with friends. Starting to work on Schaeffer’s new bedroom this weekend.
Best moment of the week: Finding out that we will have another daughter. And that she is healthy. Praise God!
